Her goal is to get students to be aware of the importance of coastal wetlands and the need to prevent further loss. LOUISIANA BOYS’ AND GIRLS’ STATERS - These Louisiana Boys’ and Girls’ Staters from across the parish are planning and participating in a mock trial as part of the annual Vermilion Parish Government Day. This is the fifty-first year that the American Legion, the American Legion Auxiliary, The Vermilion Parish School Board and the Vermilion Parish Police Jury join together to allow high school students to get hands-on experience in local government. Gale Luquette, intake officer, and Judge Durwood Conque work with Mock Trial. The program will be held on January 23 and 24th at the parish courthouse.
