Gulf Coast Bank offers support to Knights of Columbus of Abbeville
Gulf Coast Bank has joined other local businesses in contributing to the Knights of Columbus Council 2281 of Abbeville’s fundraising efforts for the Diocese of the Military.
The Diocese of the Military serves Catholic men and women who reside on military bases in the same way the regular dioceses serve their parishioners. They provide services such as updating and maintaining records.
In a memorandum sent out by Knights of Columbus Supreme Master Dennis Stoddard, Archbishop Timothy Broglio of the Military Archdiocese was quoted as saying “I cannot estimate the amount of good that this new initiative will have for the spiritual welfare of our military personnel and their families.”
The funds raised will defray the cost of a Jambalaya event the Knights of Columbus will be hosting on April 6, 2014. All proceeds from the jambalaya will be donated to the Diocese of the Military. Tickets for the meal will be available soon.
Paul Patout, CEO and President of Gulf Coast Bank, would like to encourage other local businesses that have not yet contributed to extend their financial support to the Knights of Columbus of Abbeville in this worthy cause.
Gulf Coast Bank is a locally-owned and operated full-service banking institution with fifteen locations throughout Acadiana, including branches inside four area Walmarts.
