Update: The inmate who escaped Friday morning from the Vermilion Parish Correction Center has reportedly been apprehended.
Vermilion Parish Superintendent Jerome Puyau confirmed that schools in Abbeville and Erath, as well as LeBlanc Elementary and Seventh Ward Elementary have been placed on partial lockdown.
Nicholas Faciane of Abbeville is back in the U.S. after being arrested in Mexico.
The arrest ends three years Faciane being on the run.
