On Saturday, February 22nd thirty Vermilion Catholic students participated in the District literary rally held at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
This is just one of many vehicles hauling an Airstream to come into Abbeville on Monday. The group came in from the southeast part of the state, where they visited Baton Rouge and the capitol. This leg of their tour goes through Cajun country, and Abbeville was their first stop. Every year, a caravan of Airstreams rolls into Abbeville to stay and enjoy the local scene.

Kaplan’s Klebe’ Meaux was the artist honoree for the Kaplan Arts Council annual brunch. Many of his works were on display for viewing, along with more artwork from area students. The brunch is the Arts Council’s fundraiser with proceeds going towards student scholarships and summer art activities.
