Joseph “J.C.” Langlinais, Sr.

KAPLAN — Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 4, 2016 at a 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Joseph “J.C.” Langlinais, 85, who passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and under the care of Community Hospice on Monday, August 1, 2016. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Mark Miley officiating the services.
He is survived by his two sons, Joey Langlinais, Jr. and his wife, Debra of Lafayette and Kenneth Langlinais and his wife, Gwen of Kaplan; one daughter, Debbie and her husband, Dale LeBlanc of Lafayette; seven grandchildren, Derrick Langlinais, Lorie Aguilera, Matthew Langlinais, Cassie Langlinais, Brennan LeBlanc, Brande Loly LeBlanc, and Amelia Durdin; seven great grandchildren, Derrick Langlinais, Jr., Asher Durdin, Allister Durdin, Colette Durdin, Rylie Greene, Ty Greene, and Seth Domingue; one niece, Verline Marceaux; and his special companion, Marilyn Emfinger.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Dubois Langlinais; one son, Barth Langlinais; and two grandchildren, Jared and Benjamin Langlinais.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Thursday, August, 4, 2016 from 8 a.m. until services.
