NAUW - Vermilion Region members held its annual retreat on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015. Members participated in team building exercises, along with other activities in prepration for another year of service. Sixteen members were present. Members pictured are (sitting) Deven Reynolds, Breanna Lewis (standing) Ella Taylor, Ire’ Ann Levine, Cicely Brailey, and Bridget Winters.

NAUW-Vermilion region install officers

The National Association of University Women - Vermilion Region held its installation of officers on Aug. 3, 2015.
Ms. Linda Armstrong, past sectional director of NAUW-South Central Region was present to install the new officers.
Bridget Winters Accepted the gave for the second term as president. Afterthe installation ceremony, Ms. Armstrong presented each new officer with cards displaying words of wisdom.
NAUW-Vermilion Region sponsors or participates in a number of projects throughout the year. The focus is on the youth, women and disadvantaged. Some of these projects are annual Women’s Health Fair, a community breakfast with the MLK Day committee, two scholarships to deserving high school students, literary programs, Thanksgiving canned goods drive, and used eyeglass donations to the Lions Club.
NAUW-Vermilion Region welcomes all interested ladies to contact President Bridget Winters at 893-3735 to get more information about the organization. A four year degree from a accredited university is necessary to become a member of NAUW.
