Bail set for Denna Decuir at $250,000

Bail has been set for Denna Decuir, who was arrested by the Vermilion Parish Sheriff Department for alledgedly murdering 60-year-old Milton Decuir.

Her bail is set at $250,000 and as of Friday at 5 p.m., she was still in the parish jail.

Decuir was found shot to death in his house on Canebreak Road near Abbeville on Jan. 23. At the time investigators said Decuir was shot while sleeping.

According to court records, the couple had a history of problems including legal separations in 1985 and ‘88 a protective order filed in 2004 and a divorce in 2004.
