Premeaux-David say vows in Lafayette
Miss Angelica Premeaux of Erath and Mr. Ross David of Lafayette were joined in holy matrimony at the Cathedral of Saint John the Evangelist in Lafayette on Saturday, September 27, 2014.
Officiating the 1:30 p.m. ceremony was Rev. Chester Arceneaux.
The bride is the daughter of Marseille Ritchey of Erath and Barry Premeaux of Crowley. Her grandparents are Mrs. Eleanor Premeaux and the late Lucien Premeaux of Crowley, and Mrs. Dianna LeBlanc and the late Stafford LeBlanc of Erath.
The groom is the son of Vincent David and Karen David of Lafayette. His grandparents are Mrs. Eunice Breaux and the late Eugene Breaux of Lafayette and Mrs. Betty David and the late Neil David of Lafayette.
Music was provided by Thomas Niel, organist. Musical selections were ‘The Prince of Denmark’s Mark’, and the ‘Wedding March’.
The vocalist was Lauren Johnson, friend of the bride. Her selections were ‘Ave Maria’ and ‘On Eagle Wings’.
Readings were presented by Paula Bernard, godmother of the bride and Michelle Guidry, godmother of the groom. Gift bearers included Catherine Abshire and Ebony Perro, friends of the bride. Program attendants were Natalie LeBlanc, aunt of the bride and Darlene LeBlanc, friend of the bride.
The bride was escorted by her step-father Scott Ritchey to her father, Barry Premeaux, who then walked his daughter to the altar.
For her special day, the bride wore a taffeta gown with a sweetheart neckline and a beaded bustier accented with beautiful embroidery. A bouffant over-skirt was embellished in embroidery and gathered to the left side trimmed with rosettes and a gorgeously scalloped embroidered hem. The back skirt featured a three layered bouffant back, each layered with matching rosettes through the cathedral train.
For her headpiece, the bride wore an ivory bridal veil with a burgundy satin edge.
She carried a bouquet made with beautiful white and burgundy flowers wrapped with white and burgundy satin ribbon.
Aimee Hebert, longtime friend of the bride attended as maid of honor. Matron of honor was Keisha Dautreuil, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids included Ashleigh Delacerda, Danielle Boudreaux, Holly Grissom, Jamie Richard, Rebecca Ashy, all friends of the bride, and Anabella Ritchey, sister of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Ava Dautreuil, godchild of the bride. The flower girl was Aubrey David, daughter of the bride and groom. She wore a dress and carried flowers, with the addition of pink flowers, similar to the bride.
The attendants wore three different types of dresses in a pomegranate/cranberry color, above the knee elegant dresses. They carried cream colored flowers with cream feathers wrapped in a soft burgundy ribbon.
Matthew David, brother of the groom, and Ryan Fugler, longtime friend of the groom, served as best men. Groomsmen included Chase Mouton, Jonathan Scola, Lyle Guidry, Nathan Thibodeaux, Tyler Delcambre, all friends of the groom, and Braedon Premeaux, brother of the bride. Junior groomsman was Kaden Premeaux, brother of the bride. Ring bearer was Gage Ritchey, brother of the bride, and son of Scott and Marseille Ritchey. Ushers were Seth Dautreuil, brother-in-law of the bride and Austin Bernard, cousin of the bride, along with Alex David and Myles Guidry, cousins of the groom.
The reception was held at Keith’s Ballroom in Broussard.
Upon returning from their honeymoon, the couple will reside in Lafayette.
A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom’s parents, was held at Tsubaki in Lafayette on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014.
The bride is a 2007 graduate of Erath High School and a 2013 graduate of UL Lafayette with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. She is employed as the manager of Dean-O’s South.
The groom is a 2002 graduate of St. Thomas More High School and a 2007 graduate of UL of Lafayette with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He is employed at the original Dean-O’s Pizza.
