Boudreaux, Howell wed in Abbeville

Lauren Renee Boudreaux of Abbeville, Louisiana, and Christofer Schröder Howell of Abbeville were united in the sacrament of holy matrimony on Friday, May 16, 2014, at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Abbeville in a 7 p.m. ceremony. Father Donovan Labbe officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Boudreaux of Abbeville. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Presley Clark of Judice, Louisiana, Mr. and Mrs. Danny Trahan of Abbeville, and the late Michael Boudreaux of Abbeville.

The groom is the son of Ms. Jacqueline Howell of Abbeville and Mr. Daniel Moss of Broussard, Louisiana. He is the grandson of the late Wiley Howell of Abbeville and the late Christine Howell of Abbeville, as well as Madeline Gauthier of Coteau, Louisiana, and the late Ernest Moss of Tennessee.

The bride was escorted by her father, Mr. Patrick Boudreaux. She wore a strapless, ivory fit and flare gown with beaded sweetheart bodice and satin bottom. She wore a cathedral-length veil with embellishments along the edges. Her bouquet consisted of ivory roses, hydrangeas, and calla lilies, with pearl accents.

There were two maids of honor in the ceremony. Jerica Lege, a friend of the bride, and Kimberly Trahan, a cousin of the bride. The bridesmaids were Ashley Theall, a friend of the groom, and Brandy Clark, a cousin of the bride. The junior bridesmaid was Kaitlynn Howard, cousin of the bride. Madison Lasseigne, a cousin of the bride, and Charlie Barrilleaux,a cousin of the groom, served as flower girls.

The bride's attendants wore floor-length chiffon gowns of Peacock color with sweetheart necklines. Their bouquets were ivory hydrangeas accented with peacock feathers. The flower girls wore ivory-beaded tulle dresses. They carried kissing balls with ivory hydrangeas.

The best man in the ceremony was Bryce Scalisi, a cousin of the groom. The groomsmen were Baron Andrus, cousin of the groom; Dylan Luquette friend of the groom Rickey Brassette, a friend of the groom; and James Harvey, a friend of the groom. The junior groomsman was Alex Mahfouz, III, a cousin of the groom, and Landry Barrilleaux, cousin of the groom, was a flower girl escort.

Ushers in the ceremony were Kerry Trahan, a friend of the bride; Logan Trahan, a friend of the bride; Wiley Ledet, a cousin of the groom; and Brodie Broussard, a cousin of the groom.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Johnny Luquette and Tommy Guidry. Readings were provided by Miranda Broussard, godmother of the groom; Sharon Boudreaux, aunt of the bride; and Sonja Howard, aunt of the bride. Gift bearers were Scott Trahan, godfather of the bride, and Lance Broussard godfather of the groom.

The mother of the bride was escorted by Kerry and Logan Trahan. Her dress had a strapless bodice with matching bolero jacket with sparkling sequin detail and long champagne-colored satin skirt. The mother of the groom was escorted by the groom. She wore a two-piece ensemble of a pewter jacket with sheer overlay and black embellishments with a floorlength black satin skirt.

After the ceremony or reception was held at the Erath Community Building. The couple wedding trip to Rome, Italy, and will return to reside in Starkville, Mississippi.
