Students from RMS and JHW made a photo stop in front of the White House on their Easter Break under the supervision of Louise Broussard of JHW, Ann Abshire of RMS, and especially the awesome parents.
Rene Rost Middle School and J.H. Williams Middle School eighth graders sit under “Freedom is Not Free” wall at the Korean War Memorial which honors the more than 1.5 million Americans who served in that war from 1950-1953.
A favorite for students is seeing the Abraham Lincoln Memorial made of marble, granite and limestone in 1914, also the site of Martin Luther King’s famous “I Have a Dream” speech delivery.
This photo is in front of the Three Servicemen Statue at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Each year students make an etching of a name of a Louisiana serviceman from one of the panels at this memorial.
