Abbeville elementary schools hire a total of five new teachers

Teachers in Vermilion Parish continue to come and go four months into the school year.
The Vermilion Parish School Board accepted the new personnel list that contained the hiring of six new teachers and one coordinating supervisor of child nutrition.
Amy Fremin is now the new supervisor of children nutrition at central office. She replaced Mary Jumonville, who resigned in January of 2013.
Eaton Park Elementary and Herod Elementary are the two schools with five new teachers.
At Eaton Park, Elissa Baudoin and Leandra Moore are the new teachers.
At Herod Elementary, Malori Frederick, Abby LeMaire and Dalanda Tolliver are the new teachers.
Ashley Simpson is the new secondary science teacher at Kaplan High School.
Retiring from the school system was Karen Simon, an Erath High teacher. She will retire on January 11, 2014.
Shirley Riley retired last week as a cafeteria technician at Eaton Park Elementary.
Doug Dotson, the former Erath High head football coach, was involuntary transferred to Herod Elementary as an ISS Teacher.
