Mrs. David Boudreaux

Couple united in evening ceremony

Miss Alisha Boutin and Mr. David Boudreaux exchanged wedding vows during a ceremony held on Sept. 13, 2014 at Magdalen Place in Abbeville.
Perry J. Bourgeois Jr., justice of the peace, officiated the 7 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Willis and Patty Boutin of Erath. Her grandparents are the late Omer and Daisy Coontz of Erath, Mrs. Louella Boutin of Kaplan and the late Murphy Boutin, sr.
The groom is the son of David Boudreaux Sr. of Forked Island, and Edna Saltzman Boudreaux of New Orleans. His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Roy Saltzman, Pervis Boudreaux and Lena Langlinais.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Terell White.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore an elegant white fit and flare gown with a beaded sweetheart neckline. The corset closure was accented with beaded miniature pearls and silver sequins attached together with white silk covered buttons on the back. The front gathered together to the side with a beautiful pearl and sequin applique, accented with pearl and diamond earrings.
She carried a gorgeous red rose bouquet with her late grandmother’s silver and aurora borealis rosary entwined.
Erika Weekly, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Hannah Cormier, Casey Kibodeaux and Robin Boudreaux. Amelie Angelle, daughter of the bride, served as the flower girl.
The attendants wore long candy apple red dresses and carried bouquets of baby ivory roses.
The mother of the bride wore a champagne and black fitted knee length dress.
The mother of the groom wore a blue silk flared knee length dress.
Ronald White, friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen included Troy Lormand and Thomas Breaux, all friends of the groom.
They wore elegant black tuxedoes with black shirts and candy apple red ties.
The reception was immediately held following the wedding. The wedding cake and food was catered by Chef Bobby and Dot Breaux.
The groom is currently employed by Acadian Contractors.
