Ashley Domingue becomes Mrs. Charles Hunter Jr.

Ashley Michelle Domingue and Charles Lynn Hunter, Jr. were united in marriage at 6:30 pm on September 27, 2014 at the Historic Calcasieu Marine National Bank in Lake Charles, La. The officiant for the evening sunset ceremony was Pastor Dwayne Daigle.
Ashley is the daughter of Brian and Cheryl Domingue of Kaplan, La. Her grandparents are the late O.J. and Virgie Domingue of Henry, La. and Roland and the late Jeanette Dubois of Kaplan, La. She is a 2007 graduate of Kaplan High School, 2010 graduate of McNeese State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice, and a 2014 graduate of the Calcasieu Parish Regional Law Enforcement Training Academy. Ashley is currently employed by the Lake Charles Police Department.
Charlie is the son of Tina Newman and Charles L. Hunter, Sr. of Lake Charles, La. His grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Anderson, Sr., Mrs. Juanita Manuel and the late Mr. John Manuel, and Mrs. Jane Newman and the late Mr. Clifton “C.J.” Newman, all from Lake Charles, La. He is a 2002 graduate of Grand Lake High School and a 2005 graduate of McNeese State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. Charlie is currently employed as an investigator with the Calcasieu Parish Coroner’s Office.
The bride, escorted down the aisle by her father, wore an ivory, strapless, satin gown with a sweetheart neckline upon which were sparkling crystal details. The wrapped, fitted bodice was adorned with stunning embroidery and Swarovski crystals while covered buttons added character to its back. Asymmetrical ruches added dimension to the skirt, while sparkling crystal accents gave way to soft pickup details, which culminated into a chic train. The elegant bride carried an arrangement of ivory hydrangeas, daisies, coral roses and calla lilies, and pale yellow ranunculus embellished with pearls and canary yellow satin ribbon.
The matron of honor for the ceremony was Bethany H. Domingue, sister-in-law of the bride. Bridesmaids were Ashley H. Benoit and Allyson R. Hunter, sisters of the groom. Cousin of the bride, Chloe E. Dubois, served as junior bridesmaid. All were dressed in pewter colored, satin draped, strapless gowns with a layered bodice and fitted skirt.
Aubrie Stevens, whose parents, William and Melanie Stevens are friends of the bride and groom, served as flower girl. She wore a satin dress in canary yellow with tulle overlaying skirt embellished with satin rosettes and carried a satin ivory basket filled with an arrangement of flowers similar to the bride.
The best man for the ceremony was brother-in-law of the groom, Chad Benoit. Groomsmen were Justin Newman, Ryan Blanchard, and Taylor Blanchard, all cousins of the groom, along with Grant Domingue, brother of the bride.
The ring bearer was Carson Blake Benoit, godchild of the groom and the son of Chad and Ashley Benoit.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Davlon Rost, good friend of the bride, from Abbeville, La.
Ushers were William Stevens, Geoffrey Thompson, and Scotty Young, all friends of the groom.
The mother of the bride was escorted to her seat by her son, Grant T. Domingue and the mother of the groom was accompanied down the aisle by her son, Charles Hunter, Jr.
Following the courtyard ceremony, a wedding reception was held indoors of the beautiful and elegant Historic Calcasieu Marine National Bank. Friends and family joined the newly married couple to food, drinks, and dancing. After a honeymoon to Eureka Springs, Arkansas, Charlie and Ashley will reside in Lake Charles, La.
