Franques receives high honor at CPE

Avery Franques is the 2014 Cecil Picard Elementary Student of the Year. She is the daughter of John and Donita Franques. Since first grade, she has been on the Principal's List, top Accelerated Reader and Talented & Gifted student. She has had perfect attendance for two years. She is a Jr. Beta Club member, 4-H Parliamentarian and plays clarinet in the fifth grade band. For many years, she has attended lessons in dance, piano and Mandarin Chinese. She is a Girl Scout. She attends the ULL summer Gifted program and has attended ULL CILAT Robotics courses for the past four years. Her goal is to become a doctor.
