Delcambre looks to rebound

The Delcambre Panthers and Lady Panthers are facing off against Jeanerette tonight, at the Delcambre gym.

The Lady Panthers find themselves on a three game losing streak entering tonight’s game.

“We have been working hard on our defense and putting pressure on ourselves to not turn the ball over,” Lady Panthers Head Coach Lisa Richard said. “Jeanerette is an athletic team and we have to be on top of our game.”

If the Lady Panthers are going to rebound from their first district loss of the season, they are going to be relying on Emily Romero and Nicole Bouillion.

Romero and Bouillion have led the Lady Panthers in scoring.

“We just have to make sure that we do all of the little things right,” Richard said. “They may seem so simple, but if we don’t do them right we won’t win.

Jeanerette enters the game with a 5-8 record overall and a 2-1 record in district play.

The Panthers enter tonight’s game against Jeanerette with a 3-8 record overall and their lone district game was a loss to Westminster Christian, this past Tuesday night.

For the Panthers to get their district win of the season they are going to have to start making some of the open looks they have been getting.

According to head coach Johnny Tragnmar, the team has been getting good open looks, they just haven’t been able to knock them down.

Jeanerette enters this game with a 9-9 record, and its lone district win came in its only district match-up against Loreauville.

Both the Panthers and Lady Panthers game against Jeanerette is scheduled for tonight at Delcambre.
