Guilbeaux new development officer

Murphy Guilbeaux, Jr., a 33-year veteran of the car dealership industry, is the fresh face at Gulf Coast Bank with a fresh title as Business Development Officer.

Guilbeaux’s new position in the financial industry will be to aid in securing lasting business relationships by offering the community bank’s products and services.

His goal will be to become actively involved in the local communities on behalf of the bank, and he plans to visit potential clients on a regular basis educating them on the bank’s ability to develop their business.

“I’ve never throttled back; I have the type of personality to put myself out there,” said Guilbeaux who was previously employed at Acadiana Ford in Kaplan for 20 years. “I think the biggest thing is the talents I have fit this type of (financial) environment—going out to service the community and interact. That’s what I love doing. I think this bank focuses on that.”

Guilbeaux is a native of Kaplan, and has two sons with his wife of 32 years.

He said he is excited about his new career path.
