Touchet and Hungerford are wed

Kristin N. Touchet and John S. Hungerford were united in marriage on Saturday, October 19, 2013, in the courtyard of Magdalen Place in Abbeville, Louisiana. The 6 p.m. ceremony was officiated by Justice of the Peace Johnny Choate.

The bride is the daughter of Lovelace and Darlene Touchet of Erath and Mark Bolner of Abbeville.

The groom is the son of Stephen and Michelle Hungerford and Nyla DeHart, all of Abbeville. He is the grandson of Jean DeHart of Abbeville and Simon and Adrienne LeBlanc of New Iberia.

The mother of the bride was escorted by her son, Jake Touchet. She wore a champagne-colored sleeveless dress with a beaded empire waist and multiple soft-tiered layers of laced taffeta.

The mother of the groom was escorted by her grandson, Gavin Meyers. She wore a champagne-colored lace and sequin wrapped top and a formal mermaid-fit taffeta skirt in black.

The bride was escorted by both of her fathers, Lovelace Touchet and Mark Bolner. She wore a lovely lace over charmeuse gown that featured beaded soutache floral detail and satin buttons along the back leading into a chapel train. In complement to the fit-and-flare silhouette, she chose a raw-cut veil at shoulder-length.

Dodie Touchet, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids included April Hungerford, sister of the groom, Madison DeHart, sister of the groom, Anne Maria LeBlanc, friend of the bride, Summer Smith, friend of the bride, Ashley Meyers, friend of the bride, and Kelly Smith, friend of the bride. They wore black sheer sleeveless column dresses with V-necklines and empire waists.

Junior bridesmaids included Hailey Herrington and Kyndall Theriot, both nieces of the bride. They wore black sleeveless dresses in crinkle chiffon with a twist front.

Flower girls for the ceremony were Auldrey Meyers, niece of the groom, and Mylee Toups, daughter of the bride. They wore tulle dresses with spaghetti straps in white that were embellished with crystal accents.

Andrew Hungerford, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen included Grant Garbert, brother of the groom, Jake Touchet, brother of the bride, Damion Hebert, friend of the groom, Nicholas Hoag, friend of the groom, Ned Nugier, friend of the groom, Chris Smith, friend of the groom, and Gavin Meyers, nephew of the groom.  

Acting as ring bearers were Parker Theriot, nephew of the bride, and Brylon Toups, son of the bride.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Hub City Brass Quintet.

Acting as ushers were Haiden Richard, cousin of the bride, Caesar Touchet III, cousin of the bride, and Gabriel Primeaux, godchild of the bride.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held inside Magdalen Place where those attended were entertained by the band, Muzic Unlimited.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Hungerford will honeymoon to Cancun, Mexico. When they return, they will reside in Erath, Louisiana.
