Abbeville- Funeral Services for Herbert Lee Levy, 74, will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 21, 2013 in David Funeral Home Abbeville, LA with Pastor John Vining officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00AM on Saturday December 21, 2013, until service time. Interment will follow in St. Paul Catholic Cemetery.
A native and lifelong resident of Abbeville. He was a US Veteran having served with the US Army, and was also a retired educator with 26 years of service with Vermilion Parish School Board having taught at both Forked Island, and E Broussard Elementary. Herbert also retired with 33 plus years from Abbeville General Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline Levy of Abbeville; his two daughters, Julia L. and her husband Felton Campbell of Dallas Texas, and Naomi R. and her husband Courtney Bell Sr. of Dallas; one son Kibbie and his wife Chekeitha L. Pillette Jr. of Fairfield Texas; his sister Martha Polk of Abbeville; his eight grandchildren Brittney and Kendall Campbell, Isaiah and Courtney Bell Jr., all of Dallas Texas, Kasey, Kori, Kaigen Pillette, and Tyrek Landry, all of Fairfield Texas.
