Dr. Katherine Ayo and Dr. David Rayburn announce engagement

Mr. and Mrs. Ted Ayo of Abbeville, La. are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Dr. Katherine Victoria Ayo to Dr. David Andrew Rayburn, son of Shelley Rayburn of Quakertown, Pennsylvania.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Farrell and Ellen DesOrmeaux of Abbeville, Louisiana, and the late Ernest and Genevieve Ayo of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana.
The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Claire and Joe Ben Alexander of Sarasota, Florida, and Paula and Eugene Rayburn of Venice, Florida.
Katherine graduated from Vermilion Catholic High School in Abbeville, Louisiana in 2006 and received a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In 2015, Katherine received her Doctorate of Medicine from American University of the Caribbean. She is currently in her Obstetrics/Gynecology residency at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana.
David graduated from Riverview High School in Sarasota, Florida in 2002.
He received a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences in 2006 and a Masters of Public Health both from the University of South Florida in Tampa, in 2009. In 2014, David received his Doctorate of Medicine from American University of the Caribbean. He is currently in his Emergency Medicine/Pediatrics residency at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The couple will be united in marriage at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2016, at St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans, Louisiana.
