Horace Dean Vice

ABBEVILLE — Funeral Services for Horace Dean Vice, 82, will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, January 16, 2017 at David Funeral Home Chapel of Abbeville with Rev. Kenneth Flaming and Rev. Jason Duhon officiating. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Monday, January 16, 2017 from 9:00AM until the time of the services.
A native of Erath and a resident of Abbeville Mr. Vice died at 9:06PM on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Vermilion Health Care Center. He worked for IMCO Services for over 19 years. Mr. Vice was known as a man of prayer.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Karen Landry Vice of Abbeville; a son, Michael Vice of Youngsville; two daughters, Deborah Ann Morgan of Mouton Cove and Mary Ann Barras of Mouton Cove; two step children, Myndi LeBlanc of New Iberia and Joe Calvin Harper, II; fourteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marie Guidry Vice; by his parents, Eddie and Una Morvant Vice; and a daughter, Katherine Marie Vice.
Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Vice, Johnny McMellon, Corey McMellon, Antoine Barras, Jr., Nicolas Barras and Steven “Craig” Morgan.
Kane McMellon will serve honorary pallbearer.
David Funeral Home of Abbeville at 2600 Charity St. (337)893-3777 will be handling the arrangements.
