Elizabeth Ann Marque Mouton

July 28, 1949 - May 27, 2015

KAPLAN — Elizabeth Ann Marque Mouton departed this life on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 with her friends and family at her bedside.
Better known as Beth, she was born to J.M. Marque and Gloria Blanchard Marque in Plaquemine Louisiana on July 28, 1949.
She graduated from St. John the Evangelist High School in 1967 and attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge where she obtained degrees in General Studies, Education, and thereafter received her Masters Degree (MSW) with the school of social work at LSU.
Beth married her husband, Wade A. Mouton in 1978 and they established their home in Kaplan, Louisiana. Both shared an office in Kaplan Louisiana where she practiced clinical social work. She also worked with numerous health care facilities with emphasis on recovery for persons suffering from alcoholism and addiction. She was a Certified Master Gardener and an established portrait artist.
Beth and Wade were the parents of three sons, Charles Marque Mouton, Paul Benjamin Mouton, and John William Mouton all of Kaplan.
She is also survived by three brothers, Melvin J. Marque and his wife Betty of Morganza, Richard J. Marque and his wife Beth of New Iberia, and James M. Marque and his wife Denese of Mandeville, Louisiana; and one sister, Mary Margret Marque Garrison and her husband David of Westchester Township, Ohio as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father J.M. Marque and her mother, Gloria Blanchard Marque.
The family request that her wishes for a private family viewing be acknowledged.
A memorial celebration of her life will be forth coming and her many friends and clients will be advised through the media of the date and place. There will be no public viewing or funeral services at her request.
