Abbeville based Manning Menard Oil wins award from ExxonMobil

Abbeville based Manning Menard Oil Co., Inc. was named the state’s top performer by ExxonMobil for providing an exceptional customer service experience and achieving the highest overall site experience score in Louisiana.
Menard Oil Co., supplies five M/M Shops in Lafayette, New Iberia and Grand Coteau. The five M/M Shops were judged by “mystery shoppers” on their customer service, outside presentation, cleanliness of the inside sales area and tidiness of restrooms.
When combined, the scores of the five M/M Shops exceeded those of every other ExxonMobil distributor in Louisiana in 2013.
Brenda Harman, vice president of Menard Oil Co., called the award a great honor.
“It justifies what we want out of our stores,” she said. “This award measures the total site experience - from how well the stores are stocked, to how clean the pumps are, to how friendly our cashiers are.
“It recognizes the extra effort of every employee. Our cashiers and managers really care. I am very proud of them and grateful to them.”
Harman said the excellent customer service provided at M/M Shops, Inc. is just another way that illustrates how much Menard Oil Co. cares about Acadiana.
The company offers a scholarship at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette called the Manning Menard Endowed Scholarship in Computer Science. The scholarship, named after Menard Oil Co. founder Manning Menard, is only available to those who graduate from high schools in the Acadiana region.
“Our business has thrived here in Acadiana. We look at the scholarship as a way to give back to the many people that have helped contribute to our success,” Harman said.
