Calvin James Captville, Sr.

Calvin James Captville, Sr., 51, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Abbeville, departed this life Friday, June 12, 2015 at his home.
He was a cross country truck driver and a graduate of Southern University. Visitation at Moriah Baptist Church, 15366 Old Hammond Hwy. from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. om Friday, June 19.
Visitation will resume at Light House for Christ Church, 6526 Chassion Rd., Abbeville from 9 am Saturday until religious service at 11 am. Conducted by Bishop Raymond Captville. Interment in St. Paul Cemetery, Abbeville.
Survived by his son Calvin James Captville, Jr., of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter Kendra Citizen of Abbeville, parents, Bethel, Sr. and Velma Captville; two sisters, Michell Davis (Eugene) and Cynthia Dease (Ben) all of Baton Rouge; four nieces, Bethany and Geā€™Nene Davis and Anna Williams of Baton Rouge, Asha Lavergne of Lake Charles; two nephews, Benjamin Dease of Baton Rouge and Jamarcus Captville, Sr. of Franklinton; five aunts, Clara Dean McCoy, Lilian Williams (James) and Janelle Wiltz (Darryl) all of Abbeville; Linda Jones of Port Arthur, Texas and Betty Broussard (Antoine) of Scott, LA; a devoted companion, Brenda Tillman; extended nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his brother, Bethel Captville, Jr. Arrangements entrusted to MJR Friendly Service Funeral Home, Denham Springs. 225665-8002.
