Vermilion Parish Schools will be closed for two days

The Vermilion Parish School Board made a decision to close school Tuesday and Wednesday.

Superintendent Jerome Puyau said, "Because of the weather, canceling school is in the best interest for the safety of our students and staff."
Tuesday, the weather is expected to get below 32 degrees with a possible chance of snow or sleet rain.
Because of schools being closed, all Tuesday basketball games are also expected to cancelled.
