Waldo Harrington, Jr.

A mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Stone Mountain, Georgia honoring the life of Waldo Harrington, Jr., 76, who died on October 2, 2010.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Elliot Harrington of Stone Mountain, Georgia; three sons, Lance Harrington, Kelly Harrington, Kent Harrington and his wife Patricia; two daughters, Dawn Harrington Glaze of Dallas, Texas, Angela Harrington Ingram and her husband David of Stone Mountain, Georgia; two brothers Roland Harrington and his wife Janis, Dayton Harrington of Cow Island, Louisiana; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father Waldo Harrington, Sr., his mother Stella Nunez Harrington, and his only sister Goldie Harrington Meaux.

After graduating from SLI (UL) in 1955, he entered the Air Force as a military pilot. Once his duty in the Service was completed, he was employed by Eastern Airlines for 34 years in which 20 of those years he flew as Captain.

Waldo’s greatest enjoyment was being with his family. He also enjoyed coming back home to Cow Island, Louisiana, to visit his relatives and many friends.
