North Vermilion boys too much for Erath Bobcats

North Vermilion’s Dreylan Adams scored 13 of his 18 points in the second half in North Vermilion’s 66-33 win over the Erath Bobcats on Tuesday night.
The Patriots improve to 1-0 in district, while Erath falls to 0-1.
The two teams played each other in the parish tournament earlier in the season and the result was same
On Tuesday, the Bobcats played the game without their top two scorers. Elijah Mitchell and Bren Faulk, who combined for 28 points a game, were out.
The Bobcats were able to hang around in the first quarter and were down 15-8.
In the quarter, Malik Criner had four points for NV.
Blake Turner and Criner combined for nine of North Vermilion’s 17 second quarter points.
Criner would not score again in the second half.
That is when Adams stepped up in the second half. He scored seven points, which sparked the blowout.
Jaylen Senigal paced Erath with 14 points.
Erath was outscored 34-21 in the second half.
Other scorers for North Vermilion were Dade Dieterich (10 points), Grant Dardar (4), Tyler Galley (4), Brent Hollier (8) and Creed Rudd (2).
Other scorers for Erath were Chene Blanchette (4), Justin Mouton (2), Zach Trangmar (4) and Kydrick Vital (3).
Erath is on the road to Berwick on Friday.
On Friday, North Vermilion is in Cade to play ESA in non district game.

Juniors Monette Bolden and Alexis Lege combined for 42 points in Erath Lady Bobcats’ 53-30 win over North Vermilion on Tuesday.
Bolden scored 25 points, including four 3-pointers.
Lege, on the other hand, scored 17, all around the goal.
Olivia Blanchard had six points and Gabby Harrington had five for Erath.
Kaylee Lopez led North Vermilion with 10 points.
Zoe Graham made 8, Emily Faulk 6 and Ariel Plowden 4 for NVHS.
