Gueydan Honey Bears cruise by Lady Panthers of Delcambre

In the second set of games at the Lady Pats Invitational Tuesday, the Gueydan Honey Bears faced off against the Delcambre Lady Panthers and even though it was close in the beginning, the Honey Bears turned it into a big victory, winning 50-29.
The first half was a really close game. At the end of the first quarter Gueydan had a lead but it was only two points, 15-13.
In the second quarter, both teams only managed to score six points, leaving the score at half time 21-19.
After both team had some time to make adjustments in the locker room, Delcambre came out cold.
The Lady Panthers missed their first 10 shots coming out of half time.
“We really couldn’t get anything to fall,” Delcambre Head Coach Lisa Richard said. “Our shots just wasn’t falling. It unfortunately is just one of those things. We got open looks we just couldn’t get them to go down.”
Along with the shots falling coach Richard feels that the Lady Panther defense just wasn’t as good as it was Monday night.
“We didn’t attack the ball,” Richard said. “We weren’t as aggressive as we normally are, and our defense let us down.”
On the other side of the ball the Gueydan Honey Bears played a similar game to Monday night, but it had a completely different outcome.
