Erath girls team off to 2-0 start

The Erath Lady Bobcats like any other team were looking to get the season started the right way and after Friday night's game they are well on their way of doing that.
They played Ascension Episcopal at home and won by the final score of 52-39.
The Lady Bobcats jumped up on Ascension early taking a 15-4 lead after the first quarter.
The offense kept rolling for Erath in the second quarter has they widened their lead, thanks in part to another 15-point quarter.
The Lady Bobcats led at half time 30-13.
With such a big lead the Lady Bobcats just put it on cruise control.
They did allow Ascension to out score them in the second half.
Ascension scored 26 points in the second half as compared to the 22 from Erath.
Leading the way for the Lady Bobcats was Alexis Harrington.
She led the team in scoring with 17 points.
Most of her work happened in the first half where she scored eight in the first quarter and five in the second for a total of 13 of her 17 points in the first half.
Close on her heels was Caitlin Domingues.
Domingues scored 10 total points, and in opposite manner of Harrington.
Domingues scored six of her 10 points in the second half with four coming in the fourth quarter.
Granted they didn’t take a lot of free throws but the Lady Bobcats did capitalize from the charity stripe, making three of the four free throws they took.
Leading the way for Ascension was Emily Deplechain.
She led all Ascension players with 16 points.
After only scoring two points in the first quarter, Deplechain picked up her game and scored five in the second and six in the third.
Sara Seago was a close second with 10 points. She spread hers out through out the whole game.
Erath’s girl will lace it up again starting Monday when they take part in the Lady Pats Shootout.
