Erath blanks Grand Lake

ERATH - The Erath Bobcats jumped out to an early lead on Grand Lake and captured a 10-0 victory on Friday in Erath.
When the first inning was over, Erath led 4-0.
You know it is going to be a good game when the lead-off EHS hitter, Chandler LeBlanc, gets a single and would eventually score on a ground out by Mason Granger for a 1-0 lead.
Chandler went 3-for-4 at the plate on the night.
Bryson Suire, who is hitting above .400, had an RBI-single that scored Granger for a 2-0 lead.
Suire pitched all five innings against the Class 1A school. He allowed no runs, two hits and struck out five.
Erath added three more runs in the bottom of the fifth. The inning got off to a hot start when Kobe Baker singled, scoring Leblanc.
The Bobcats had 11 hits in the game.
Baker had two hits and knocked in one run.
Baker and Erik Belanger had a hit for EHS. Ben Leblanc had two hits for EHS.
Bren Faulk and Granger each knocked in two runs on sacrifice hits.

Church Point game rained out

The Bobcats were playing a double header on Friday and got rained out after three innings.
Erath was down 2-0.
Shea Duplechain started on the hill for EHS. He pitched all three innings and gave up three hits and no earned runs.
Erik Belanger had Erath’s only hit in three innings.
