Abbeville cruises past Gueydan in first round

DELCAMBRE - The Abbeville Wildcats cruised to an easy win over Gueydan Bears in the first round of the parish tournament on Tuesday.
Abbeville won 72-42 and advanced to play Kaplan last night in the second round.
There were 14 players who scored for Abbeville.
Only Jurvontae Decuir led with double digits. He scored 13 points. He nailed 3 three-pointers.

The No. 2 seed Gueydan Honey Bears jumped out to a 26-6 halftime lead and cruised to a 48-29 win over the Lady Pirates of Kaplan on Tuesday.
Gueydan played Erath on Wednesday.
Kaplan was eliminated.
Nya Boudreaux had 14 points and T’Nia Leger 16 for the Honey Bears.
Ke’Ara Charles and Ashari Terry each had 7 for Gueydan.
