Simon and Soileau unite in marriage

Elysse Marie Simon and Joshua Michael Soileau were united in Holy Matrimony at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Kaplan, Louisiana, on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 12 Noon. Father Alan Trouille was the celebrant for the mass.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. Arne Simon and the late Mrs. June Landry Simon of Kaplan. She is the granddaughter of Mr. Ted and Mrs. Viella Simon of Kaplan and Mr. Sidney and Mrs. Geraldine Landry of Jennings. Her sister, Kayla Simon, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Emily and Katie Simon, sisters of the bride; Sarah and Bethany Soileau, sisters of the groom, and Amanda LeJeune, cousin of the bride.

The groom is the son of Mr. Kevin and Mrs. Darlene Boos of Lake Charles and the late Mr. Michael Soileau of Lake Charles. He is the grandson of Mr. Robert and Mrs. Lillian Barnhill, Mrs. Lottie Soileau and the late Mr. Gerald Soileau, and the late Mr. Kenneth Boos, all of Lake Charles. Austin Bourgeois served as best man. Groomsmen included Chris and Andrew Boos, brothers of the groom; Austin and Todd Simon, brothers of the bride; and Davin Ange, friend of the groom.

Music for the ceremony was provided by the Holy Rosary choir. Readings from Scripture were read by Theresa Almeida, godmother of the groom, and Rachel Miller, godmother of the bride.

Serving as gift bearers were Hannah Landry and Lauren Landry, cousins of the bride.

Ring bearer was Aaron Boos and Flower girl was Hayley Boos, cousins of the groom.

Following the wedding, a reception was held at the American Legion in Kaplan, Louisiana.

After a honeymoon in New Orleans, the couple will reside in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
