Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 22, 2008 at Vincent Funeral Home honoring the life of Rickey D. “Bear” Breaux, 54, who died June 20, 2008.

He was laid to rest in Kaplan Cemetery. Rev. David Broussard officiated the services.

Survivors include his wife, Winnie Breaux of Kaplan; one son, Jade Breaux of Carencro; three step sons, Brennan Richard, Travis Castillo and Jeremy Melancon, all of Kaplan; two step daughters, Rachel Richard of Sulphur and Brandy Guidry of Kaplan; his mother, Margie Meaux of Kaplan; three brothers, Mark Breaux and his wife Annette of Kaplan, Randy Breaux and his fiancé Melody Storms of Vidor, Texas and Scott Breaux and his fiance’ Lynn Hebert of Kaplan; one sister, Becky and her husband Kimble Conley of Kaplan and one grandson, Hunter Breaux of Mississippi.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dallas Breaux; his son, Joshua Breaux; his maternal grandparents, Moise and Enite Sonnier; paternal grandprents,Leonard and Leonie Breaux; and his uncle Rudy Sonnier.

All funeral arrangements were conducted by Vincent Funeral Home of Kaplan.
