Abbeville—Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 8, 2015 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Woodrow Verret, 85, who died Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Pelican Pointe Healthcare & Rehabilitation.
He was laid to rest at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Catahoula, LA with Deacon Randy Hyde officiating the services.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Theriot Verret; son, Ricky James Verret and his wife Teena; three daughters, Debbie Spinks and her husband James, Charolette Dent and her husband David, and Arlene Noble and her partner Frank; brother, Rivis Verret Jr.; two sisters, Beverly Lasseigne and Carolyn Lasseigne; six grandchildren, Brody Doucet, Hailey Whitney, Bryce Verret, Brandon Green, Danielle Dent and Dylan Dent; six great grandchildren, Marlee Patterson, Aubree Patterson, Ayden Patterson, Wyatt Whitney, Luke Whitney, Link Green; and his dog, Lucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rivis Verret Sr. and the former Armite Latiolais; son, Louis Verret; and numerous brothers and sisters.
