Robert "Joey" Desormeaux

ERATH – A Gathering of Remembrance for Mr. Robert “Joey” Desormeaux, 44, will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at David Funeral Home of Erath from 10:00AM until 8:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 6:00PM. Interment will be at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery at a later date.
A lifelong resident of Erath Mr. Desormeaux died on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Lafayette Physical Rehabilitation Hospital. Joey was known for his enjoyment of spending time with his family.
His is survived by his wife, Kelly Ewing Desormeaux of Erath; his mother, Margaret Primeaux Broussard and her husband Lester Broussard of Lydia; two sons, Blaze Desormeaux and Chaise Choate both of Erath; three daughters, Taylor Desormeaux of Erath, Chloe Desormeaux of Erath, and Megan David of Lafayette; three sisters, Anita Desormeaux and her fiancée Kim Brasseaux of Erath, Marie Simon and her husband Eddie of Erath, and Lisa Tassin of Erath; and numerous nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph W. Desormeaux.
Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Blaze Desormeaux, Gage Desormeaux, and Chaise Choate.
