Raymond Cloteaux

ERATH – A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Raymond Cloteaux, 73, will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, June 5, 2015 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Bill Melancon officiating. Interment will follow at St. Anne Cemetery of Youngsville.
Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Erath on Thursday, June 4, 2015 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Friday, June 5, 2015 from 8:00AM until the time of the services.
A native of Henry and a resident of Erath Mr. Cloteaux died at 5:00PM on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at his residence. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine and worked for over 18 years at Cargill Salt then over 18 years at Evangeline Downs in Carencro. He also enjoyed gardening and being with his dogs, “Lady and “Atti”.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Betty Hebert Cloteaux of Erath; a son, Ray J. Cloteaux and his wife Michelle of Erath; three daughters, Penny and her husband, Roland Lege, Sr. of Franklin, Julia and her husband Timothy Venable of Erath, and Sara and her husband Jimmy Guidry of Youngsville; a sister, Hazel LeBlanc of Erath; ten grandchildren, two step grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and five step grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvest and Julia Sellers Clostio.
Serving as pallbearers will be Roland Lege, Jr., Ross Cloteaux, Zachary Lege, Dillon Venable, Christian Cloteaux, and Carlos LeBlanc.
Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Nicholas Venable.
