Nellie LeBlanc Chiasson

ERATH — A Mass of Christian Burial for Nellie LeBlanc Chiasson, 86, will be 10:00AM Saturday October 8, 2016 in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Msgr. Douglas Courville officiating. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum. Visitation will be in David Funeral Home of Erath Friday October 7, 2016 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM with recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM and will resume Saturday from 8:00AM until service time.
Nellie, born in Erath and a resident of Abbeville passed away Tuesday October 4, 2016 in a Lafayette hospital. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is survived by her son, Earl J. (Renee) Chiasson Jr.; her six daughters Diana (Sonny) Monteleone, Claudette (Ted) Bremer, Janet (Larry) Dubois, Annette (Glenn) Oliva, Ellen (Patrick) Sterling, and Beth (Brent) Trahan; 21 Grandchildren, Adrien Monteleone, John (Pam) Monteleone, Joel Monteleone, Nicholas (Stephanie) Monteleone, Alex (Leslie) Monteleone, Gia Monteleone, Jeff Dubois, Andrew Dubois, Ben (Lyndsay) Dubois, Shay (Claire) Dubois, Joshua (Kayla) Oliva, Meghan (Garrett) Schexnayder, Tyler (Denisse) Oliva, Matthew Oliva, Victoria (Albert “Buddy”) Henricks, Natalie Sterling, Grace Sterling, E.J. Chiasson, III, Evan Chiasson, Jackson Trahan, and Emmerson Trahan; fifteen great grandchildren, Gabriella, Preston, and Maria Monteleone, Sofia and Sebastian Monteleone, Theresa Monteleone, Nate and Evelyn Dubois, Cailyn Vincent, Cohen, Ava, Grayson, and Noah Schexnayder, Julian Oliva, and Albert “Michael” Henricks, IV, and one brother Logier “L.J.” (Elaine) LeBlanc.
She is preceded in death by her husband Earl J. Chiasson, Sr., her parents Clerphy and Rosetta LeBlanc, and one sister Hilda L. Faulk
Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Readers and gift bearers will be her granddaughters.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to her nightly caregivers, Mary Hebert, Denyce Fontaine, and Dorothy Turner.
