Lena Monceaux Whittle

ABBEVILLE—Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at a 2:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of Lena Monceaux Whittle, 82, who died Saturday, February 14, 2015 at her residence .
Reverend Kenneth Mayne will be officiating the services.
She is survived by her daughter, Liza Whittle; two sons, David Whittle, and Thomas Whittle and his wife Janice; brother, Robert “Golou” Monceaux; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Monceaux and the former Anaise Bertrand; son, Eddie Michael Whittle; and brothers, Ernest Monceaux, Preston Hebert and Ruston Hebert.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Wednesday, February 18, 2015, from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
