Larry Joseph Lee

ERATH — A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church for Larry Joseph Lee, 60, who died November 20, 2016 at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans surrounded by family.
Fr. Andre Metrejean, pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at David Funeral Home in Erath. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum.
Larry was born in Abbeville and resided in Erath. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus #3872. Mr. Lee drove a school bus in Vermilion Parish for over 20 years. He was the bookkeeper for Prairie Gregg Drainage District and Ward #1 Drainage District, and also worked for Ideal Weight Loss Clinic. His passion was cooking, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Larry will be sadly missed by his family, friends, and the community.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Gail Desormeaux Lee of Erath; one daughter, Kelli Lee LeBlanc and her husband Ryan of Erath; two sons, Jason Martin Lee and his wife, Lauryn of Youngsville, and Brett Francis Lee of Lafayette; two brothers, Gary Mark Lee of Baton Rouge and Tedman James Lee and his partner, Kevin Browning of Nashville, TN; and six grandchildren, Anne-Catherine Marie LeBlanc, Jeanne Claire LeBlanc, Luke Ryan LeBlanc, Madelyn Grace Lee, Grant Michael Lee, and Baby Lee.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Wilton and Nelwyn Granger Lee.
Pallbearers will be Ryan LeBlanc, Karlan Desormeaux, Stephen Lee, Nicholas Lopez, Christopher Lopez, Kevin Browning, and Justin Lee.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Lee, Tedman Lee, Horace Frederick, Blaine Lopez, and Randy Gilbert.
