Johnny “Cake” Campbell

ABBEVILLE — A Home-Going Celebrating will be held for Mr. Johnny “Cake Campbell 60, at 11:00 a.m. Friday January 10, 2014 at Fletcher Funeral Home New Iberia, LA with Rev. Wayne Landry officiating.
He will await the resurrection at Rose Hill Cemetery in Abbeville, LA.
A gathering of family and friends will begin at 8:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home until time of services.
A native of Abbeville, LA, he passed on Thursday, December 26, 2013.
He leaves to cherish his memory two sisters, Marlene Nunez and Stella Verret of Abbeville, LA; five brothers, Robert Campbell, Eugene Campbell, Clifton Campbell, Sr., and Pastor Donald Campbell of Abbeville, LA and Larry Smith of New Iberia, LA, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius Campbell , Sr. and Mabel Thomas, eight brothers, Raphael Campbell, Leroy Campbell, Larry Campbell, Aras Campbell, Anthony Campbell, Arthur Campbell, Pastor Chester Campbell, Sr., and Julius Campbell, Jr., seven sisters, Mary Alice Thomas, Marion Daye, Charlene Honeycutt, Lillian Williams, Goldie Campbell, Lillie Mae Lewis and Margaret Washington.
Active pallbearers will be members of the immediate family.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the immediate family.
