Jerome Lee Herpin

KAPLAN — A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Jerome Lee Herpin, 68 years old, who passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at his residence. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Mark Miley officiating the services.
Jerome fulfilled a life long career in the Oil Field, which he loved. He retired from ExxonMobil after 28 years and later retired from Eagle Consulting after 16 years. He was also the owner of Herpin’s Fashion Shoppe which is still family owned and operated. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. Jerome will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Barbara M. Herpin of Kaplan; four children, Jennifer and her husband, John Bertrand, Jr., Suzanne and her husband, Chadd Touchet, Aubrey Marceaux, III, and Annette Marceaux; seven grandchildren, Andre Bertrand, Emily Bertrand, Julie Bertrand, Lauren Touchet, Caroline Touchet, Andrea Marceaux, and Amy Marceaux; two great grandchildren, Avery Meyers and Aubrey Lyn Meyers; one brother, Msgr. Lawrence Michael Herpin; and three sisters, Rita Mae Herpin, Sister Martha Joan Herpin, and Annie Joyce Castille.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Seva Herpin and the former Albertine Dupont.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 9:00 AM until 10:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Friday, January 20, 2017 from 8:00 AM until the procession departs for the church.
