James Roland Baudoin

DELCAMBRE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mr. James Roland Baudoin, age 79, at 11:00 am Monday, January 16, 2017 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Fr. Nathan Comeaux officiating. Interment will be held privately at a later date at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Sunday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Monday until service time.
A native and resident of Abbeville, Mr. Baudoin passed away at7:56 pm on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Baudoin was enlisted in the LA Army National Guard and worked in the oilfield as a welder. He enjoyed traveling with his wife. He was known to take several trips a year with her, his mother and mother in law. He loved going to Branson and taking his family to witness The Great Passion Play.
He enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughter, Darlene Fluharty and husband David of Abbeville; two sons, Darin Baudoin of Prairieville and Morty Baudoin and wife Anita of Youngsville; his mother, Louise LeBlanc Baudoin of Abbeville; one brother, Rodley “Brother” Baudoin and wife Jeanette of Abbeville; five grandchildren, Christopher Baudoin, Justin Roy, Buffy Roy, Chance Baudoin, and Jordan Burwell; eight great grandchildren; his mother in law, Mary Alice Boudreaux Picard; sister in law, Susan P. Landry and husband Wayne and brother in law, Jude Lynn Picard and wife Barb Picard all of Delcambre.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cindy Picard Baudoin and his father, Galvez Baudoin.
Pallbearers will be Darin Baudoin, Morty Baudoin, Chance Baudoin, Wendell Baudoin, Jude Picard and Wayne Landry.
