James C. “J.C.” Howard, Sr.

ABBEVILLE – A Mass of Christian Burial for James C. “J.C.” Howard, Sr. is schedule for Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at St Theresa Catholic Church in Abbeville, LA. Father Greg Cormier will be the Celebrant. Burial will be in LeBlanc Cemetery.
“J.C.” Howard (76) as he was affectionately called, passed away Monday, September 7, 2015 at his residence surrounded by family and friends.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Hilda Rita Howard of Abbeville, LA; one son, James C. Howard, Jr. (Donna) of Boutte LaRose, LA; two daughters, Cindy Ann Howard of Abbeville, LA; and Jacqueline H. Hebert (Christopher) of Erath, LA; two sisters, Roberta Tellerin (Nolan) of New Iberia, LA; and Mary Greene (John) of Jeanerette, LA; four grandchildren, seven Great-Grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by sisters, Jeanette Theriot and Betty Courville, a grandson, LeeVon Joshua Howard, and step-parents, Ernest Robertson and Aurelia Robertson, a niece, Shelly Hudson and nephew, Dan Courville.
Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, September 9, 2015 from 5:00 – 9:00 P.M. at Kinchen Funeral Home – 218 N. St. Valerie Street (337) 898-9595 and will resume Thursday, September 10, 2015 from 8:00 – 10:45 A.M.
