Hilda Hebert Toups

ERATH — A Mass of Christian Burial for Hilda Hebert Toups, 88, was held at 1:00PM Saturday May 2, 2015 in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Rev. Bill Melancon officiating. Entombment followed in Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum. Visitation was held at David Funeral Home of Erath Saturday May 2, 2015 from 8:00AM until service time with recitation of the rosary at 10:00 AM.
Hilda, born in Abbeville and a resident of Erath passed away Thursday April 30, 2015 in a local care center.
She was a cafeteria worker at Erath High School for many years. She and her husband loved to go camping in their RV especially on the beach. They enjoyed fishing and all outdoor activities. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Hilda was survived by her children Jo Lynn Toups LeBlanc and husband George Stephen , Lorres Toups Jr. and wife Barbara, James Lacey Toups and wife Myra all of Erath; brother Elson Hebert and wife Lois of Abbeville; sister Nell Hebert Baudoin and husband Harris of Maurice; grandchildren Shannon LeBlanc Durham of Dallas, TX, Melissa LeBlanc Smith of Abbeville, Troy Stephen LeBlanc of Abbeville, Bryan Toups, Brent Toups, Kevin Toups all of Erath, Amy Toups of Medford, NJ, Jonathan Toups of Youngsville, Lori Toups DuBois, Brett Toups both of Erath, and 20 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lorres J. Toups Sr. parents Albert Hebert and Nolia Landry; brothers Virgil, Ravila, Doris, and Warren Hebert; sisters Helen Romero and Velma Lou Hebert.
