Hazel Menard LeMaire

ERATH – A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Junies “T-Mule” LeMaire the former Hazel Menard, 77, will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Bill Melancon officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.
Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Erath on Monday, July 6, 2015 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 from 8:00AM until the time of the services.
A native of Lafayette and a resident of Erath Mrs. Hazel died at 9:18AM on Friday, July 3, 2015 at her residence. She was known for her enjoyment of spending time with her family, playing cards, and bingo.
She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth L. Richard and her husband Michael of Erath, Aleata LeMaire of the Woodlands; a special friend she consider as a daughter Myra Fontenot of the Woodlands; four brothers, Ivy Menard, Jr. and his wife Diane of Mire, George Menard and his wife Anne of Baton Rouge, Clifton Menard and his wife Debbie of Duson, and Shannon Menard and his friend Rachel of Judice; six sisters, Delores Broussard Lafayette, Ruth Menard and her friend Brad of Carencro, Mary Bourque and her husband Michael of Scott, Linda Perry and her husband Butch of Baton Rouge, Christine Broussard and her husband Shane of Vatican, LA, and Laura Stoute and her husband Dwayne of Sunset; two grandchildren, Heath Richard and his wife Chasity and Michelle Landry and her husband Brad; and four great grandchildren, Kaitlin Richard and her fiancé Jacob Voisin, Hanna Richard, Madison Landry, and Mollie Landry.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Junies “T-Mule” LeMarie; her parents, Ivy Menard Sr. and Aurelie Trahan Broussard; her step mother, Lacy Menard; and a brother, Floyd Menard.
Serving as pallbearers will be Brad Landry, Heath Richard, George Menard, Clifton Menard, Ivy Menard, Jr., and Shannon Menard.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Michael Richard and Michael Bourque.
