Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Harry Frederick, 95, who died Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Abbeville General Hospital. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Cedric Sonnier officiating the services.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Zula Hebert Frederick of Kaplan; four sons, Conley Frederick and his wife, Myrna of Kaplan, Robert (Bobby) Frederick and his wife, Charlene of Kaplan, Richard Glenn Frederick and his wife, Cheryl of Round Rock, Texas, and Daniel (Danny) Frederick of Kaplan; his sister, Iris Guidry of Abbeville; eleven grandchildren, Dawn and her husband, Jacques Vincent, Shauri F. Richard, Ryan Frederick, Brett Frederick and Olivia, Denise Frederick, Dana and her husband, Woody Guidry, all of Kaplan, Derek Frederick of Broussard, Brian Frederick-Gray and his wife, Susan of Phoenix, AZ, Rachel and her husband, Doug Hall of Euless, TX, Tracey Frederick of Oklahoma City, OK, and Dr. Sarah and her husband, Dr. Bryan Pickel of Edinburgh, Scotland; and fifteen great grandchildren, Hailey, Tyler, Jayde, Jenah, Noah, Ava, Emily, Davin, Sloan, Katlyn, Sidney, Henry, Julia, Daniel, and Benjamin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis Frederick and the former Noelia Meaux; and his brother, Louis Frederick.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Friday, April 10, 2015 from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 8 a.m. until services.
