Grant Edouard LeBlanc

Grant Edouard LeBlanc, 32, passed from the scene at 12:20 am on Monday, September 12, 2016. Grant was a loving husband and father, an excellent professional chef with a highly-developed palate, and a prominent local musician skilled in the art of face-melting metal awesomeness who rocked Lafayette for over 15 years in bands Inept Coalition, Failsafe, MDAK, and Wildfires.  Grant touched many lives with his intelligence, humor, courage, wisdom, and capacity to be basically one hell of a fun and fascinating guy.  He is loved and will be missed by his family and countless friends.
Grant is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Briney and one son, Henry Charles; his father, Aubrey “Buddy” LeBlanc, Jr.; his mother, Lisa Woodward and her husband Ken; his sister, Brittany LeBlanc Schaeffer and her husband Ty, two nieces, Emma and Charlotte Schaeffer and his nephew, Tommy Schaeffer; his maternal grandmother, Beverly Harrington and her husband Floyd; his aunts, Sandra Grant and her husband Wayne, Winona Bernard, Melanie LeBlanc; his uncle, John Motty and his wife Cheryl; and many cousins.  He is also survived by in-laws, Patrick, Joan, Daniel, Elaine, and James Briney and Jane Menville, and his two dogs, Lucy, a neurotic whatever-it-is, and Django, a pit bull mix with a head and heart the size of North Dakota.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Aubrey C. LeBlanc, Sr. and Pearl Latiolais LeBlanc; and his maternal grandfather, Douglas Motty.
A Memorial Service for Grant will be held at Marcello's Wine Market Cafe, where he worked for many years and was loved and admired by colleagues and customers alike, from 12:30 until 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 18, at 340 Kaliste Saloom Rd. Suite C in Lafayette, ph. (337) 235-1002.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family requests that donations be made to Miles Perret Cancer Services.
Personal condolences may be sent to the LeBlanc family at www.delhommefuneralhome.com.
