Floyd J. Guidry
Floyd J. Guidry, 84 of Export, Pa., died Thursday, January 16, 2014.
He was born February 2, 1929 in Abbeville, LA, son of the late Emery and Edvina Richard Guidry. He was a veteran of WWII serving with the U.S.
Navy and was a retired school teacher and a retired director of religious education at North American Martyrs Church, Monroeville. He was a member of Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Charles Guidry and a sister, Lula Bernard.
Floyd is survived by his wife, Suzanne Lucey Guidry; five children, Michael (Lisa) Guidry of Murrysville, David (Lucy) Guidry of Murrysville, Mary (Matt) Wolfson of Pittsburgh, Amy (Joey) LeBlanc of Anchorage, AK and Steven (Traci) Guidry of Youngsville, LA; nine grandchildren, Nicole, Cody, Kyle, Kameron, Blaine, Zachary, Max, Casey and Ryan; a great granddaughter, Mabel; a sister, Emily Courtier of Abbeville, LA and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Hart Funeral Home Inc., Murrysville. Additional visitation 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at the Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville with a funeral mass at 10 a.m.
Entombment will follow in the Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
