Eddie Wimberly Watson
ERATH — A Mass of Christian burial for Eddie Wimberly Watson, 52, was held Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 12:00PM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, with Fr. Andre Metrejean,Pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church officiating. The family requested visiting hours to be held Friday, November 25, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resumed Saturday November 26, 2016 at 8:00 AM until time of services, with a Rosary recited Friday at 7:00 PM. Interment followed in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Cemetery.
Eddie, a native of Church Point and a resident of Erath, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was a pharmacist at Dauterive Hospital for 23 years. Eddie was an avid farmer at heart with a special love of horses.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years Tracy Moss Watson; his three daughters Antoinette(Annie) Watson, Sarah Watson and Claire Watson; two sons Fred Watson and Henry Watson; his mother Jackie Wimberly Watson; two sisters Donna Watson Vidrine, and Carole Watson Daigle, and husband Kevin; his brother Logan Watson. Eddie is also survived by his mother-in-law Antoinette (Toni) Dubois Moss; his father-in-law Ramsey Moss; and sister-in-law Donna Moss Bergeron, and husband Christopher Bergeron, brother-in-law Christopher Ramsey Moss, and wife Nicole Landry Moss;, and numerous nieces and nephews. Eddie always had a special place in his heart for his godchildren, Jeremy Watson, William Guidry, Allison Daigle, Gabrielle Harrington, Andrew Moss, and Luke Bergeron.
Eddie was preceded in death by his father Fred Earl Watson; his brothers Fred Earl Watson Jr., and infant brother James Edward Watson; and his grandparents Eddie and Doris Wimberly; and Logan and Beatrix Watson.
Eddie's family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. Salman Malad at Cancer Center of Acadiana, Acadian Homecare and Heart of Hospice.
