Dwayne Broussard

ABBEVILLE—A memorial visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., March 11, 2015 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Dwayne Broussard, 65, who died Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at his residence.
Dwayne was a member of the Patriot Guard Riders whose members attend the HYPERLINK “http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Funeral” \o “Funeral” funerals of members of the HYPERLINK “http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Armed_Forces” \o “United States Armed Forces” U.S. military, firefighters, and police at the invitation of a decedent’s family and the Motorcycle Club to support veterans.
He received his Juris Doctorate degree from Louisiana State University in 1975. His last decade was spent as a petroleum landman, a field he felt was a passion more than a job. Over the life of his career he had the distinct opportunity to work as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Louisiana, servicing in the fields including natural resources and Native American Affairs.
He was proud of and adored his grandchildren, and the feeling was mutual. He will be remembered as their manmade slide.
He is survived by his son, Brandon A. Broussard and his wife, Leslie; three grandchildren, Brenna Kathryn Broussard, Elaine Ashlynn Broussard and Jacob Daniel Broussard; and sisters, Leigh B. Rodrigue, Georgette B. Pierce, Francine Broussard, Sue Broussard and Tracy B. Gremillion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Broussard and the former Joyce Hulin; and brother, Brett Broussard.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
