Dora Adams

ABBEVILLE — A home-going celebration will be held for Ms. Dora Adams, 87, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Mt. Triumph Baptist Church with Rev. Ennis Sullivan, officiating.
She will await the resurrection at Mt. Triumph Baptist Church Cemetery in Gross Isle.
A gathering of family and friends will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the church until the time of services.
A native of Erath, LA. and resident of Abbeville, LA, Ms. Dora passed away at the Heart Hospital of Lafayette, LA on Sunday, November 27, 2016.
She was a faithful member Mt. Triumph Baptist Church where she was a former member of the Usher Board.
Ms. Dora leaves to cherish her memories, seven sons: Alex Broussard (Brenda) of Carencro, LA., Raymond Broussard of Abbeville, LA., Roy Gage Sr. (Shirley) of Tulsa, OK., Dalton Adams of Lafayette, LA., Carter Adams and Oscar Adams both of Abbeville, LA., and Earl Adams (Cynthia) of Radcliff, KY., three daughters: Lillian Levine (Rev. Louis) of Dallas, TX., Delta Brailey (Ralph), and Monique Molani both of Abbeville, LA., one daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Broussard of Abbeville, LA, thirty-seven grandchildren, seventy-nine great grandchildren, and eleven great great grandchildren, one paternal aunt Federia Mae Granger, a paternal uncle Grady Adams, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, her parents, Didier “EJ” Adams and Roxie Feast, an uncle and aunt who raised her as their own, Quby and Noelie Fils, her siblings, Delta Jason and Dalton “Joe” Jason, two sons, Wayne Adams and Marcus Broussard Sr., one infant grandson, two infant great grandchildren, nine maternal aunts, five paternal aunts, four paternal uncles.
Active Pallbearers will be Clavern Adams Sr., Norris Boyd, Jeffery Gage Sr., David Wayne Levy, Carlton Moore, and Brady Wiltz.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Alex Broussard, Raymond Broussard, Roy Gage, Sr., Dalton Adams, Carter Adams, Oscar Adams, Earl Adams, and all of Dora’s grandsons.
